I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, which means I look at individuals and families in systems. After working in many different cities throughout Connecticut, I found that the root of depression and anxiety (the most general forms of mental disorders) stemmed from inactivity. However, I knew that it went deeper than engaging the serotonin levels (however that is important too!). I studied at Fairfield University during my Masters degree, where the idea of mindfulness was becoming a cutting edge therapy. I loved the idea and wanted to bring that into my work, combining the mental health with the outdoors. It is also an invitation to face your challenges for deeper healing.
